Ifugao. Luzon Island, Philippines.
Wood, with ritual contents. L: 29.5" (74.9 cm), H: 12" (30.5 cm), W: 8" (20.3 cm).
A wooden ritual box with lid that was used by the Ifugao in rituals evoking successful rice cultivation.
There is a pig head at each end, an animal often used in ritual sacrifices.
