South Maluku Islands (possibly Tanimbar), Indonesia.
Gold or gold alloy (74.1 grams). Dia: 7.75” (19.7 cm).
Circular dish-shaped pectoral of concave form pounded from sheet gold, decorated with four bird motifs in the center and spiral patterns on the edges.
Often worn hanging from a cord around the neck as a chest ornament or pectoral by noble families as a display of wealth and status.
