Moro people. Mindanao Island, Philippines.
Metal (brass). H: 54.5" (138.4 cm), Dia: 16.5" (41.9 cm).
Large brass urn kept by noble Moro families as a symbol of wealth and prestige. Many of these urns date back to the 16th century.
Formally in the collection of Potenciano Badillo (bio attached) and acquired by descent in the mid 1980s.
