wj: Ceremonial Offering Bowl.

Kayanic Dayak complex. East Kalimantan, Borneo Island, Indonesia.
Hardwood. L: 33" (83.8 cm), W: 19" (48.3 cm), H: 6" (15.2 cm).
Unusually large hardwood bowl/dish with handles at each end and four feet. Meant to hold ceremonial offerings.
Each end has a classic Kayanic "monster" mask/face with an dragon (aso) in each corner, carved in low relief.
There is a pair of fish (or manatees?), with Kayanic style teeth and fangs, etched into the center of the bowl.
