3390: Maskette.

Naga. Nagaland (India/Burma border).
Hardwood. H: 6" (15.2 cm), W: 4" (10.2 cm), D: 1.5" (3.8 cm). Early 20th century.
Small maskettes were worn on a cord around the neck of Naga warriors to indicate they had taken enemy heads in battle.
